
Dr. Pedro Diaz has over forty years of experience as a professional and Olympic-level boxing coach. As a coach for the National Boxing Team in Cuba, he was responsible for planning, supervising, and overseeing the training plans of Cuban boxers for the most important competitions of the Olympic cycle. He holds a doctorate of Pedagogical Sciences with a specialization in Boxing and previously served as a professor and researcher at the University of Cuban Sports. For his research on the training methodologies of high-performance boxers and his work with Olympic Amateur boxing champions, Dr. Diaz has been invited to give seminars and courses around the world.
During the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, Dr. Diaz made history as the head coach for the Dominican Republican Olympic Boxing Team, which that year took home the only Olympic Boxing gold medal in all of the Americas. He has also trained champions in professional boxing and MMA from around the globe, including Miguel Cotto (Puerto Rico), Guillermo Rigondeaux (Cuba/USA), Xu Can (China), Filip Hrgovic (Croatia), and many more.
